A remarkable display of unity unfolded in Tarkwa Nsuaem as political rivals set aside their differences to prioritize community development.

The occasion, marked by the final day of the annual Islamic ritual TAFSIR, witnessed an unprecedented gathering of leaders from diverse backgrounds.

Hon. Issah Salifu Taylor, the NDC Member of Parliament hopeful for Tarkwa Nsuaem, graciously accepted an invitation to join the Muslim community of Tarkwa Zongo in observing this sacred tradition.

He joined the company of distinguished figures including the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Benjamin Kessie, and the Municipal Chief Imam, SHIEKH Alhaji Yusuaw Ahmad Doodo, among others.

Notably, the unexpected turn of events occurred when the NPP Nasara Coordinator, Hon. Zackary Abubakari, took the podium.

In a surprising declaration, he urged the Muslim community and the people of Tarkwa Nsuaem to support both the NPP Presidential candidate and the NDC parliamentary candidate, Hon. Issah Salifu Taylor.

Emphasizing the need for unity and progress, he highlighted Hon. Taylor’s capability to bring about positive change to the constituency, speaking with courage, truth, and without fear.

Amidst murmurs of disbelief, Hon. Taylor reaffirmed his commitment to fostering peace and development in Tarkwa Nsuaem. He echoed the sentiments expressed by the Tarkwa regional police commander, urging the youth to resist political manipulation and uphold the sanctity of peace during the upcoming campaign and general election.

In a rare demonstration of bipartisan collaboration, both political factions pledged their dedication to community advancement above partisan interests. Hon. Taylor, in particular, emphasized his focus on empowering the youth and driving sustainable development initiatives for the betterment of all constituents.

This extraordinary display of unity and commitment to progress serves as a testament to the resilience of democracy and the collective desire for positive change in Tarkwa Nsuaem. As the nation witnesses this remarkable example of collaboration, it is evident that when politicians prioritize the interests of the people, transformational change becomes not just a possibility, but a reality.
