Road users and inhabitants of Dompa, a farming community in Bosomefreho constituency in the Ashanti region  are growing increasingly agitated over the deteriorating state of the road network in the area, despite assurances from authorities to fix the roads.
The Ankaase stretch to Dompa and it adjoining areas is very bad to the extent that vehicles cannot ply the road.
Roads in the entire constituency remain in a poor state, making it a herculean task to use that particular area. As a  stretch in such a terrible state, there are always stuck cars, and many road users complain of having their vehicles break down due to the bad nature of the road.
This portion, primarily within the area , becomes nearly impassable during rainy seasons and generates excessive dust in the dry season.
Local residents find this situation unacceptable, especially considering the numerous assurances from government officials, while the situation keeps getting worse.
Addressing Chairman Nana Akwasi,Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NDC during a campaign tour of the constituency ,Nana  Darkwah  Ahenka, Chief of Dompa said the road construction project  was abandoned since the NDC left power,it is still in this poor state.
Relevant authorities have all been here to give assurances, but it has still not been fixed. The situation gets worse anytime it rains. Aside from that, there have been numerous accidents, and vehicles using the stretch keep breaking down. All these are as a result of the fact that the road project has been abandoned.
“I just don’t understand why they have constructed roads in other constituencies in the region and have not fixed that of ours. We have engaged the authorities, but there has not been any headway so far,” He indicated.
Apart from the main stretch, various roads within the entire Bosomefreho and its surrounding areas are in deplorable conditions. The contractor responsible for these road projects has abandoned work, exacerbating the deterioration.
Nana Darkwah  Ahenka however appealed to the NDC to see to the construction of their deplorable roads if elected into power in election 2024.
He again appealed for the construction of a KVIP and a school facility.
According to him, the NDC is their only hope because the NPP keeps neglecting them anytime they are in government
“I will continue to pray, vote for you to win election 2024.It has always been my prayer.
We witness development anytime NDC is in government. The only tarred road here was constructed by Jerry John Rawlings, this shows that NDC has Bosomefreho constituency at heart.
We know your track records and we believe you will not let us down when you win. “He told Chairman Nana Akwasi
Chairman Nana Akwasi however promised to see to the construction of the bad roads in the area if they vote NDC into power.
