“Those who do not want the development of Asanteman are witches and wizards,”Dr Dr Frank Amoakohene, Ashanti Regional Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has stated .
According to him, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh popularly called NAPO, running mate to Dr Mahamudu Bawumia of the NPP has been going round the Country stating that “if you are an Ashanti and you vote for NDC, you are a nation wrecker”.
“The statement from Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh shows that he doesn’t like the development of Asanteman because it is only the NDC who develops Asanteman anytime they are in power”.
Addressing party supporters and sympathizers at Ejisu constituency in the Ashanti region, the regional secretary outlined developmental projects that the NDC government did in the Ashanti region.
Based on the NDC’s developmental track record in the region, it shows that the progress and development of Asanteman is in the hands of NDC, and for NAPO to say an Ashanti who votes for NDC is a “nation wrecker”, it means he is a wizard because he doesn’t want Asanteman to develop.
He placed on record that if Napo claims to be an Ashanti and has Asanteman at heart, he should give just one developmental project that he will do for Asanteman if given the opportunity to serve as the Vice President of the Republic.
“Napo has been going round with an empty policy for Asanteman yet he claims to be one of them,” Dr Dr Frank Amoakohene further indicated.
He, however, appealed to Members of the NDC to work assiduously for a resounding victory in election 2024.
