A high-level team from the NDC party leadership has met with the newly elected Constituency Executives of the
Amenfi East Constituency in the Western Region.
The team from the National leadership comprised Alhaji
Mahama Iddrisu, Chairman of the Council of Elders, Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, National Chairman, and Messrs Kofi Totobi Quakyi and Joshua Alabi.
Nana Kojo Toku, Western Regional Chairman, and some Regional Executives led the Amenfi East constituency delegation to the meeting intended to foster peace and unity between the constituency executives, Hon. Nicholas
Amankwa, NDC Member of Parliament, and stakeholders in the area.
A protracted dispute had caused the withholding of elections until recently when a new executive headed by Nana Atokyi emerged at the polls.
Factions at the meeting pledged to let bygones be bygones and uphold the advice of leadership to chart a new course and work together to maintain the Parliamentary seat and contribute to the NDC’s victory in 2024.
