Former Municipal Chief Executive for Obuasi Municipality in the erstwhile John Dramani Mahama’s administration, Kwasi Ofori Agyemang Boadi, has criticised politicians and accused them of showing disrespect towards traditional leaders in the country.

He claimed busing of chiefs and Imams to political rallies is a sign of disrespect to our traditional leaders.

He said some politicians have assumed an unacceptable attitude of superiority and demand chiefs and Imams to rather come to them for them to enable the Politicians make their requests.

The former Obuasi MCE indicated that politicians should rather go to the chiefs’ palaces because the politicians are the very people who need the support of the traditional leaders and not the other way round.

Addressing Chiefs and Imams in the Ashanti region during a retail campaign tour with the Ashanti regional NDC chairman and his campaign team, Zuba as he is affectionately called, made it clear that NDC and John Dramani Mahama have realized the need for the NDC to knock at the doors of our traditional authorities in the country rather than inviting them for political rallies and events as a sign of utmost respect for them.

Zuba, who looks very eloquent, affable and emotional while addressing the traditional leaders assured them of NDC’s readiness to always accord them the needed respect.

“We will continuously come to you when the need arises for advice and prayers because NDC members are very submissive and not arrogant.

We’ve been nurtured by our political fathers so we always have respect for our traditional leaders,” he
indicated.
