This year’s edition of the Certificate II Core and Electives Examinations conducted for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) candidates started today August 1st, 2022.
The examination which is being conducted by the Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET) is being written between 1st to 26th August and will see the candidates who are preparing to enter tertiary institutions across the country writing the exams.
Mr Albert Opare, Head of Corporate Affairs, CTVET, who disclosed this to the media on Monday in Accra said a total of 26, 909 candidates are writing the Core subjects while a total of 29, 613 are writing the Electives Subjects.
He stated that the exams would see the candidates being examined in four core subjects and 33 Electives which are Technical and Vocational Courses.
The Corporate Affairs Head explained that the Core Subjects exams are being written from 1st to 8th August 2022 whereas the electives subject’s exams start from 15th to 26th August 2022.
Again he indicated that the nationwide exams are being written in 20 zones, 94 exam centres and 158 schools.
Mr Opare was upbeat that with the measures put in place so far, the exercise would be very successful and called on all stakeholders to play their roles effectively to ensure incident-free exams nationwide.
He also appealed to the candidates to comply with all the laid down measures as well as the exam rules and regulations to ensure incident-free exams.
