Double Salary Saga: Prosecute  Ex Government Officials  Now ……ATJ Tells Government.

The advocates for Truth and Justice (ATJ), has called on government to prosecute the nine Ex- officials in the Mahama Administration for allegedly taking double salaries.

According to the group, the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service, concluded it’s investigations in 2018 and forwarded the docket to the Attorney General for advice .

The group in a press statement issued and jointly signed by Mr Agyemang Duah Isaac and Very Rev George Osei Mensah, Spokespersons for the group, regretted that the docket has for the past two years remained with the AG without an intent to prosecute them in accordance with the law

According to the group, the nine were part of a list of 22 former appointees who were named by the outspoken Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Hon Kennedy Agyapong as having engaged in the act.

The statement said Ghanaians are keenly interested in the double salary saga therefore government can not hide it under the carpet.

The group which constitutes, media practitioners, medical practitioners, legal practitioners and psychologists, urged the Attorney General and Office of Special Prosecutor to jointly ensure such suspects are prosecuted without any further delay to fulfill the ‘equality before the law’ as enshrined in the 1992 constitution.

  1. Am grateful a group of people are pushing this agenda. I wish to call on same people to push the EC, Jean Mensa led administration to note that if they insists in the new voter registration the citizen of will be in the war because reading from comments of Ghanaians you will note that many Ghanaians doesn’t want the new voter register.
