Nana Dr Agyemang Badu Duah I,Kunsuhene has cut sod for the commencement of work on one number, six -unit educational facility for Kunsu Roman Catholic basic school.
The 6-unit classroom block which will accommodate basic school pupils has a staff common room, washrooms and other ancillary facilities.
The project is to cost the chief Ghc1. 2 million and work is expected to be completed within three months
Speaking at a brief ceremony held at Kunsu today, he noted that the structure would ensure easy access to education by pupils in the Kunsu community and its environs.
“This forms part of efforts aimed at encouraging ease of access to education within the Ahafo Ano South West Municipality in the Ashanti Region by creating a conducive environment for teaching and learning,” he added.
According to him, creating an enabling environment for effective teaching and learning was the topmost priority of him, adding that he has decided to use all available resources to provide quality educational infrastructure for the Kunsu community and other adjoining communities under his care.
Today, we are cutting sod for work to begin, it is part of the good works have been doing for my communities .
I know every government prioritises education and I have initiated several policies to not only improve teaching and learning but also to make education more attractive and accessible to children in Kunsu,” he noted.
“I invest in education because I take my inspirations from Asantehene, Otumfour Osei Tutu II.
At first we became victorious by war but the system has changed, this time we can be victorious through education, this is why I’m investing more in education because this is the surest way one can be victorious.
I’m sacrificing for Asanteman, I’m ready to transform the image of Asante and Kunsu with all my strength, pray for me for long life for me to render my services”He concluded.
