Atwima Nwabiagya North NDC parliamentary candidate,MBA Zakaria , has praised the participants of Saturday’s clean-up exercise in some communities in the Atwima Nwabiagya North constituency.
He expressed his pleasure at seeing the streets of Asuofua and Asamang clean and healthy and commended the efforts of those involved in the exercise.
MBA Zakaria made the commendation after a successful clean up exercise embarked upon by NDC sympathizers in the constituency.
Accompanied by Constituency Executives and committed party supporters they cleaned the principal streets of Asuofua and Asamang.
Saturday’s clean-up was the third phase of the clean-up initiative, a collaborative effort between the NDC parliamentary candidate, Constituency Executives and supporters.
He assured that the exercise would be sustained to ensure total transformation in the constituency.
“We will ensure that this exercise goes beyond and becomes a regular feature in Nwabiagya North”, he said.
According to him if those who are found flouting the sanitation by-laws are dragged to the sanitation court and prosecuted it will serve as a deterrent to others , this he said will ensure sanity in our various environment.
He also used the opportunity to advise Ghanaians to ensure that “we all play our part as citizens to ensure a peaceful, free and fair poll on December 7”.
The incoming MP however indicated that , unsanitary conditions bring about diseases which can affect people who patronise their goods and services.
He urged the district assembly to enforce the sanitation by-laws to ensure cleanliness in Nwabiagya North.
