The next government of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is dedicated to promoting responsible mining and ensuring that those involved in illegal and irresponsible mining comply with regulations in the sector.

In her address to the people of Nkakaa, a mining community in the Amenfi Central constituency of the Western Region on Wednesday, she stressed the importance of responsible mining.

“We intend to implement training programmes for illegal miners to enable them to operate without damaging our rivers and forests.

Understanding that mining is a vital part of our economy, we believe it is essential for anyone entering this field to receive proper training for responsible practices.

We also recognise the urgent need for job creation among our youth, which is why we are proposing a 24-Hour Economy under the next NDC administration.

I also highlighted initiatives like the Women’s Development Bank and the Big Push, aimed at empowering women financially and creating job opportunities respectively for Ghanaians.”She stressed.

She urged everyone to support the NDC and vote for the NDC presidential candidate, Mr. John Dramani Mahama, along with all their parliamentary candidates in the upcoming general elections. A vote for Mr. Mahama is a vote against corruption, poverty and hunger, and a chance to reset our nation.”She concluded.
