Stop building at unauthorize areas-Kwadaso MCE warns
The Municipal Chief Executive for Kwadaso in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Richmond Agyenim Boateng has called on residents in his jurisdiction to stop building at unauthorize areas,especially on waterways.
According to him, building on waterlogged areas will cause havoc when there’s heavy rain.
Speaking to the punch newspaper in an exclusive interview last week, the had working MCE advised residents to be cautious about the raining season and exchew any behavior that will cause flooding since we are in the raining season.
He said, steps are underway to demolish structures at unauthorize places in his area. Adding that, demolishing exercise will prevent the flooding which has been a challenge for residents.
“We will seek legal help and remove those buildings because all these buildings do not have any permit because nobody will allow them to build in such areas. So why are people building without permits, we need to bring a bit of discipline into our system if the whole society is supposed to benefit,” he said.
SECURITY
Touching on security, he noted that, the Municipal Assembly is on top of security and is poised to ensure the safety of residents in his area.
He called on residents to be security conscious and be each other’s keeper in order to save lives and properties.
ROADS
He promised that, all roads in his area would be fixed and those that need to be shaped would be done as and when funds are available.
He appealed to residents to support him wholeheartedly to make Kwadaso Municipality the best municipality in Ghana.
