Nana Akwasi Denkyi Agyekum, the National Democratic Congress parliamentary candidate for Subin constituency in the Ashanti Region is poised to annex the seat for the party in the 2024 Elections.
Visiting traders at Kejetia market today, the hardworking parliamentary candidate distributed over thousand aprons alongside party T-shirts to the traders.
Interacting with the traders, the PC explained to them the need to vote for him and President John Dramani Mahama as MP and President of the Republic respectively in election 2024.
According to him, the 24 hour economy policy by the NDC government will create a lot of employment to ease the economic pressure in the Country.
The policy according to him will help citizens work at day and night.
The Subin parliamentary seat has been occupied by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) since January 1997.
But, Nana Akwasi Denkyi Agyekum has stated that, his ambition to contest the seat was to win the Subin Constituency for the NDC, come 2024.
Nana Denkyi had earlier embarked on clean up exercise in his constituency to ensure sanity and promote health care in the area.
His consistent visit and interaction plus support to the good people of Subin could bring development to the area if he is voted as the MP in election 2024.
According to him, the constituents deserved better from the votes they cast every four years, hence, his decision to help the electorate enjoy their fair share of the national cake as Ghanaians.
Outlining his vision for the constituents during a tour of the market,the aspirant noted that his agenda was to alleviate their plight and bring about development, and to ensure that the talents of the youths in the constituency were harnessed for total development.
According to him, the only time the electorate was engaged in an encounter with the politicians, especially their legislator, was during elections, which, he said, should not be the case, and assured that he would change the trend by engaging the constituents, especially the youth, from time to time to enable him address their basic needs.
He stressed that, there were many youth with football talents in the constituency, and for that matter, he is going to embark on one Astro Turf in the area to help the youth identify their talents in that area.
Nana Denkyi Agyekum disclosed that he would soon engage the constituents to provide them interest-free loans through the Women’s Organisers, and also initiate car loans to individuals.
He urged the Ashanti Region to be proud of the National Democratic Congress for bringing monumental infrastructural development to the region, and entreated the party fraternity to always remain united towards the upcoming 2024 parliamentary and presidential elections
