NDC parliamentary candidate for Tafo-Pankrono constituency in the Ashanti Region , lawyer Samudeen Mohammad Kamil (Yababa) , has pledged to implement an educational fund to support the needy but brilliant students in the area when given the node to lead as the MP.
He made these remarks when speaking to traditional leaders at Tafo during a campaign tour with the Ashanti regional chairman (Nana Akwasi) and his campaign team this afternoon.
He said empowering the youth will be his main priority, and that includes creating an educational fund to cater for the needy students in the constituency.
“You will see a lot of students in this constituency hanging around, they cannot go to school, and I have made a point that if I am elected as the next Member of Parliament for the constituency, I will launch an educational fun. This is going to be an educational fund that will cater for all needs of students in this constituency”, he assured.
He said the constituency is lacking behind in terms of development because, “we haven’t had good MPs. My main objective will be to lobby for development for this constituency when giving the mandate.”
Saying the incumbent MP despite his party in government had failed to improve and empower the lives of the people in the area.
