The Member of Parliament for Kwabre East, Hon. Onyina Kwadwo Gyamfi Acheampong, has made a heartfelt appeal to the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, to unite with him for the development of his constituency.
Speaking at the maiden edition of the Ashanti Festival 2025 , specifically at the Kwabre Anwenie festival today, Hon. Acheampong emphasized the importance of unity between himself and the Regional Minister in driving development in Kwabre East and the Ashanti region as a whole.
A Shared Vision for Development.
Hon. Acheampong highlighted that despite their different political backgrounds, both he and Dr. Amoakohene are young leaders serving their first terms in office. He believes that by working together, they can achieve great things for the benefit of their constituents.
The MP expressed his desire to see Kwabre East develop at the same pace as other constituencies in the region and appealed to Dr. Amoakohene to help him make this vision a reality.
Developmental Challenges in Kwabre East.
The MP outlined several developmental challenges facing his constituency, including the lack of a market at Mamponteng, the municipal capital, and a football pitch for the youth to develop their athletic talents.
These challenges, he noted, are hindering the progress of the area and its people. Hon. Acheampong urged Dr. Amoakohene to take Kwabre East as a special project and work with him to address these developmental gaps.

In his appeal, Hon. Acheampong expressed his confidence in Dr. Amoakohene’s ability to deliver on his promise of development. He urged the Regional Minister to leave a lasting legacy in the constituency and the region as a whole. By working together, Hon.
