All is set for the maiden homecoming of old students of Kumasi Technical Institute (KTI).
Date to start the program is on the 3RD-9TH of April,2023.
Kumasi Technical Institute is a co-educational second-cycle technical school in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. The School was established in September, 1976 by the government of Ghana with the support and in collaboration with the Canadian International Development Agency (C.I.D.A).
However, academic work started in January 1977. Initially, the institute was administered by Ghanaian personnel with Canadian counterparts serving as counselors until May 1978; when the Canadians begun to hand over the institute to a wholly Ghanaian administration. The last of the Canadians left in June, 1979.
Kumasi Technical Institute is situated on a 40 acre piece of land donated by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Opoku Ware II. It is situated on the north of Anglican Senior High School, on the west by Regional Education office and GNAT Hall, on the east by the West African Examinations Council and on the south by the American and other private hostels.
The maiden homecoming according to organizers is to officially meet old students , deliberate on cropping issues, have a discussion about the celebration of the School’s 46 Anniversary and also provide amicable solutions to some challenges facing the school.
Activities
As part of the homecoming, activities will include the following;Candle Procession, Clean up exercise, Roadshow/Float, Exhibition,Games, Musical Concert and Thanksgiving Service
