Over the past few days it has come to my attention that I Dr. Grace Ayensu Danquah has endorsed Dr. Kwabena Duffour, a former finance minister under the previous NDC government who has picked nomination form to contest the upcoming NDC Presidential Primaries slated for May 13, 2023.
I wish to ask everyone to disregard any posters linking me to his presidential bid and to state categorically that, it is never true that I agreed to be his running mate.
As immediate former NDC Parliamentary Candidate for the Essikado-Ketan Constituency in the 2020 General Elections, it is my greatest desire that the NDC is able to flip the seat from the side of the NPP in the impending 2024 general elections as such, the least I could do is to concentrate on making that dream a reality come 2024.
In fact, the NDC Essikado-Ketan Constituency with the help of the constituency leadership, the entire members and the good people of Essikado-Ketan did marvelously so well in the 2020 elections compared to previous elections. With our concerted effort, we made NDC a force to reckon with during the 2020 elections and I believe with such an impressive record, we have a brighter chance to take over the seat in the 2024 general elections.
In view of that I call on all meaningful members and supporters of the NDC to unite our front and marshal and direct our arsenals towards the NPP to ensure that they are booted out of power come 2024 to enable the NDC, the opportunity once again to restore hope for Ghanaians.
I would like to also call on those spreading such false rumours to desist from same since that will not affect myself alone but the entire image and peaceful coexistence among members of the NDC in the constituency.
Further to that I have on many occasions made my stance known about H.E John Dramani Mahama and that remains the same that he is the BEST PERSON currently to help secure presidential victory for the NDC come 2024.
By this release I wish to state on authority that I have no personal contact with Dr. Kwabena Duffour and would urge all members of the NDC to disregard such false stories and rather preach unity among our rank and file to ensure we go into the 2024 elections with a common goal that will secure victory for the good people of Essikado-Ketan and NDC as a whole and for our dear country Ghana.
