The Royal Ann College of Health TESCON branch in Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency in the Ashanti Region has held its maiden general meeting at the school’s main auditorium.

It was an awesome and unforgettable political experience for the young students as Mr. John Kwame Duodu popularly known in political circles as Sir John anchored the well-designed event with a high level of patriotism, efficiency, and professionalism.

The program-themed “Consolidating Students To Break The Eight” was graced by highly profiled individuals from the Constituency. Notable among them were Razak Amoah(ANS Communications Director), Lawrence Asamoah(Deputy Youth Organiser), Darko Kuffour, Theophilus Akwasi Agyei, and Justice Karikari.

Speaking at the event,*Sir John (NPP Constituency First Vice Chairman who double as Ashanti Regional Tescon Patron)* highlighted the benefits of quality education that extend beyond the income and wealth of individuals. He applauded the Nana-DMB government for their commitment to providing quality education for all with the introduction of resounding policies such the free SHS education, student loan without guarantors, the restoration of allowance for training colleges, and a host of other educational infrastructure geared towards improving quality education in the country

His canvassing prowess is atop. He charged participants:

-To promote and rally support towards the continuity of the NPP government in Ghana for peace, unity, and prosperity of the various constituencies and national development.
– To rally support for the NPP Government in a bid to engender positive performance and delivery of the dividends of democracy to the entire citizenry.
– To propagate an anti-Corruption campaign by promoting and celebrating moral values, integrity, modesty, and honesty among young Patriots.
– To evolve workable strategies toward youth empowerment through quality education, information technologies, and agriculture, amongst others.
– To promote unity and peace among TESCON as a panacea to achieving positive development in the Party
-To negate the NDC’s propaganda of whitewashing gullible citizens against the good works of the NPP

‘We can only make meaningful progress in the 2024 elections if we all come down from our high horses and work together. We don’t have to be friends to work on our mutually agreed objective of breaking the Eight jinx. It is obvious that factionalism and suspicion are not going away anytime soon, but no one faction can effectively work to secure our victory. Irrespective of where you stand, the task is to accept the stake of the other faction and devise a strategy to work around and with the other side you consider unfriendly without exacerbating the conflict. If we fail to do this, no matter how hard we work for the victory, our efforts would be negated by our differences and the NDC will make gains. This is the stage we must make painful compromises in the interest of our party,” he added

He ended by thanking all participants and congratulating them for making the maiden meeting such a successful event.
