Corpus Christi Parish embarks on health walk and screening towards Home coming event

The Parisners of Corpus Christi Parish at New Tafo, a suburb of Kumasi and their Priest Rev Father Richard Opoku Acheampong joined by other priests who hailed and worked at the Parish before has embarked on health walk and screening towards a home coming event to raise funds to assist youth development in the church.

The theme for the event dubbed Coming Back to Your First Love
Rev father Opoku Acheampong, at the event explained that the event is a six months long and a lot of activities towards supporting the brilliant but needy students and to also assist the youth who are interested in apprenticeship but has no one to help them.

According to him, the Church has already created an endownment fund to support the aged and the sick in the church, while collaborate with Otumfuo Mawerehene sponsoring to feed the over sixty (60) in the church with one hot meal on daily basis.

He stated that, the Church is of the view that, both physical and spiritual wellbeing helps the body functions and fully operates in serving mankind and God, hence partnered with health professionals from the Suntreso and Old Tafo government hospitals to screen members of the church to enhance their physical wellbeing.

Some of the ailments screen by the Health workers includes counseling, Blood Pressure, Dental, surgical cancer, prostrate cancer, Teeth, Ear, throats, and eye screening for free of charge.

Rev. Father Richard Opoku Acheampong use the occasion to invites all parishners in home and away especially those relocated from New Tafo -Krofrom to return home to help championing the course towards given a brighter future for the youth in the church who could take over from them.
