The good people of Sekyere Afram Plains constituency in the Ashanti region could not hide their joy as various groups came together to pick nominations forms for George Akom to contest in the NPP Parliamentary Primaries in the Orphan Constituencies.
The groups made up of the Concerned Citizens of Sekyere Afram Plains and the Concerned Polling Station Executives thronged to the NPP Party Office at Drobonso amidst brass band procession to pick forms for their preferred Aspirant. According to the groups, they believe it has become evidently clear that it is Mr. George Akom who stand in a better position to win the seat for the NPP for the first time and support the development of the district.
They went further to say that Mr. Akom is a native born and bred in the district, and would understand every situation and the plight of the people, because of how he experienced all the challenges.
