Earlier yesterday, the District Chief Executive for Amansie South in the Ashanti Region, Hon Clement Opoku Gyamfi, cut sod for the construction of 8 bridges, gutters and the rehabilitation of a 2.5 km road from Manso-Kensere through Manso-Wahaso to Manso-Aponapong.

The ceremony took place at the Goldline Mining Site office at Manso Wahaso-Aponapong and was attended by the Chief Executive Officer for Goldline Mining Ghana Limited, Mr. Emmanuel Ababio and the chiefs and people of the beneficiary communities.

The construction works became necessary after a heavy downpour destroyed some bridges that linked these communities and also put the road in a bad state.

At the ceremony, the DCE pledged to see to it that the drainage systems and bridges are constructed and after various pleas with stakeholders, the CEO for Goldline Mining Ghana Limited, Mr. Emmanuel Ababio responded and promised to see this project through.

At the sod cutting ceremony, Mr. Ababio donated 800 bags of cement, 10 trips of sand and stones each, nails and other necessary construction tools to the contractor. He again pledged to foot the bill of the contractor during the road construction period.
