Hon Joseph Frimpong Bonsu , District Chief Executive for Ahafo Ano South West in the Ashanti Region has said that,the NPP government is doing everything humanly possible to reshape the deplorable states of the Ahafo Ano South West roads.
According to him, currently,three separate stretch of roads have been awarded on contract and contractors are yet to hit on site for construction and tarring works.
The first stretch of road he mentioned is the Mankranso Beposo Junction to Tepa road ,which is 55 kilometers.
The second one is from Sikafremogya Junction to Bonkwaso Number one road which is about 13.6 kilometers with K. Napo construction as constructor on site.
The last on the list is the road under construction from Kunsu Junction to Saakrom which is 21 kilometers with Gadol Construction as the constructor.
Speaking to The Punch Newspaper about the forgoing character,the workaholic DCE indicated that,the afformentioned roads are currently ongoing and are expected to be completed on time as promised by the contractors.
He was not happy about the deplorable state of roads under his jurisdiction but assured residents of hope going forward.
He revealed that, about 60 kilometers of roads in his area are motorable but considered it as fair but not too good as expected.
He told The Punch Newspaper that his major worries were the bad nature of Ahafo Ano South West roads , coupled with rural electrification.
Hon Joseph Frimpong Bonsu however appealed to the President of the land,His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo to come to their rescue because most of their roads are not that accessible and this he said is retarding development.
