The Leadership of the National Democratic Congress ,headed by Johnson Asiedu Nketia, together with its Caucus in Parliament, have rescheduled the planned protest against the Bank of Ghana and its senior management personnel from tomorrow the 12th of September, 2023, to Tuesday, the 3rd of October, 2023.
The change in the date has been necessitated by the commencement of the Limited Registration Exercise to be organized by the Electoral Commission which starts on the same day as the original date of the protest.
By this change, the NDC is also urging all eligible voters to avail themselves of the opportunity to get their names onto the Voters Register.
And after that Exercise, they shall mobilise their teeming supporters to join in the demonstration against the rot and corruption that has eaten deep into the management of the central bank.
“We want to assure the general public that absolutely nothing will stand in our way on the rescheduled date as we stand ready and willing to protest vigorously against the crass leadership offered by President Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party which has affected every facet of our national life and is manifested particularly by the nation wrecking activities of the top management of the Bank of Ghana.”It was indicated in a statement copied to broadcastergh.com today.
