The Coalition on the Right to Information, Ghana (RTI Coalition) is thrilled to announce its newly elected 15-member Steering Committee, which will lead the Network for the next two years.
The Steering Committee is made up of representatives of organizations
that have wealth of experience in open governance through access to information, and it is chaired by Mary Addah of the Ghana Integrity Initiative, with Parliamentary Network Africa’s Sammy Obeng as Vice Chairman.
The RTI Coalition is a network of over 100 civil society organisations and human rights activists across Ghana, working to promote transparency and accountability of government as well as greater participation of citizens in the democratic processes,through the mechanism of the right to information legislation in Ghana.
The organizations and their representative on the Steering Committee are as follows:

Almost four years into the implementation of the Right to Information Act, 2019 (Act
989), and with Ghana approaching elections 2024 – a period that must seek to
consolidate citizens fundamental human right to information – we are excited with the
wealth of experiences and innovation that the new Steering Committee brings on Board, and we congratulate them on their new roles.
The RTI Coalition wishes to take this opportunity to express our profound gratitude to our former Steering Committee, which was led by Dr. Kojo Asante (CDD-Ghana) as Chairman and Mina Mensah (CHRI Africa) as Vice Chairperson, for their leadership
over the last three years. We wish them the very best in all their other endeavours.
