Breman Esiam traditional leaders offer land for the construction of a Technical and vocational School

The Omanhene and his Royal family of Breman Esiam, in the central region of Ghana, have secured land for the construction of a Technical and Vocational Education School to cater for the growing Student population in the Area.

The 10 acre parcels of land was handed over to the Committee tasked to ensure the Area gets a Second Cycle Institution.

In September 2023, the Breman Esiam Traditional Council inaugurated a five (5) member committee with the vision to access all resources and knowledge to establish a second cycle Institution for the Traditional Area.

Over the past few years, the Chiefs and People of the Area have committed to efforts to establish a second cycle school in the area to syn with the aspirations of the Chiefs and People.

Consequently, the Nana Efua Esiwaa II Educational fund and the Odeefuo Afankwa lll Technical and Vocational Organisation and the successive Afahy3 programmes were aimed at raising funds to support such vision.

At the latest briefing by the committee at the sitting of the Breman Esiam Traditional Council, the Committee led by Ebusuapanyin Kobina Mbir( Bright Abekah-Mensah) presented to the council that the committee has possessed a 10 acre land for the project.

He disclosed that the land was cleared, access road prepared, and a sign post ready to be erected to guarantee the establishment of the school.

He added that a road map is in place to ensure that a private TVET institution starts operations by September 2024. He intimated that the committee is in talks with the Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, the Ghana TVET service, and the Ministry of Education to support Breman Esiam to get a TVET Institution.

The secretary of the committee also emphasized that the TVET option was considered in the interest of the aspirations of the people to raise citizens with skills to move the development agenda of the communities within Breman Esiam District.

The Chairman of the Committee, Rev Eric Degraft Tawiah, was of praises and appreciation to the Omanhene of the Area, Odeefuo Afankwa III for mobilising his royal family to donate the land for this project.

He called on all citizens of the area to rise to the occasion to support this beautiful initiative.

The Omanhene of the Area who has already donated sums of money from his private resources to support the initial preparations, thanked the committee, and called on all citizens of the area, both home and abroad to rise to support the vision.
