Mr Precious Agbenya, a political analyst and member of the opposition NDC communication team, has urge the Ghanaian electorates to vote massively against the Dr. Mahammud Bawumia, the Vice President of the republic for mistrust, inconsistent and incompetency.
According to him, Ghanaians must carefully consider the track record of the Vice President before casting their vote, says over the past seven years, his tenure as the second gentleman of the land and Head of the economic management team of the government has left much to be desired, as there are few significant achievements to show the Head of the economic management team.
Mr. Agbenya stressed that, it is disheartening to note that Dr. Bawumia’s promises during the 2016 election campaign and boldly claimed he arrested the dollar depreciation and turning the economy away from excessive taxation to production largely remained unfulfilled.
He stated that, the Vice President vowed the government will not to rely on borrowing, but rather generate internal revenue through sustainable means that would not burden the people with nuisance taxes.
Mr Agbenya is of the view that regrettably, as the head of the economic management team, Dr. Bawumia has not lived up to these commitments, and for that matter,his performance has been marked by failure and ineffectiveness, leaving the country grappling with economic challenges.
According to him, it is evident that his strategies and policies have fallen short, leaving the Ghanaian people burdened with increased taxes and a lack of proper management.
He is of the view that, Ghanaians deserve a leader with a proven track record of success, someone who can deliver on their promises and create an environment of prosperity for all, this he said is the reason he implore the electorates to reject the Vice President Dr. Mahammud Bawumia and the New Patriotic Party.
He disclosed that, when it’s comes to a truck records in terms of developmental achievements and fulfilment of promises, he was urged the Ghanaian voters to rally their support behind an experienced leader like H.E John Dramani Mahama.
He reiterated that, under the former President Mahama’s previous administration, the Ghanaian economy flourished, and the citizens experienced a better lives.
He disclosed that, the current hardships faced the people, including the struggle to afford basic necessities, payment of utilities and a decent standard of living, are direct consequences of the mismanagement of the economy under Dr. Bawumia’s watch as the Head of the government economic management team.
Mr.Agbenya Precious reminded the Ghanaian voters that, as we contemplate into the future of the country, to unite in voting against Dr. Bawumia and the New Patriotic Party (NPP), adding that it is time to bring back the former President Mahama, whose leadership has proven to be more effective for the Ghanaian people, and expressed the hope that, together, we can rebuild our economy and secure a brighter future for all.
