Women’s wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti region says it will be embarking on a “door-to-door” campaign to explain the party’s “Women Development Bank” promise to women, especially traders in the region.

The party has promised to establish the Women Development Bank to enable women to access loan facilities to establish and expand their businesses if the party wins the December general elections.

To enable women in the region to understand it, the Regional Women’s Organiser of the party, Gloria Huze, said they will be embarking on a door-to-door campaign to explain the promise to them.

She said they will be targeting market centres and women groups among others and speak one-on-one with the women, particularly traders to help understand the benefits of the Women Development Bank promise.

Mrs Huze addressed the media during a meeting with the party’s women’s wing working committee to arm them with the understanding of the Women Development Bank promise to empower them to explain the promise.

She, therefore, urged the women’s wing to unite and go out in their numbers to campaign vigorously by explaining the Bank promise and other promises to enable the party to get resounding victory come December 7.
