I’ve not forsaken you-Napo to orphanage homes

Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, Vice-Presidential Candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has donated food items to 20 orphanage homes in Kumasi,the Ashanti Regional Capital.

The items included bags of rice, gallons of cooking oils, boxes of mackerel sardines and cans of tomato paste to twenty (20) orphanages in the Ashanti Region.

He also donated exercise books , pencils and pens to the children at the homes.

Presenting the items on behalf of Dr Opoku Prempeh today at a short ceremony at the Heroes Park inside the Kumasi Sports Stadium, Nana Timah Boakye, Deputy CEO, Petroleum Hub said Dr Prempeh was by the donation reminding the orphanages that he had not forsaken them.

Nana Timah mentioned that 16 out of the 20 Orphanage homes that were benefitting from the items had been on the list of homes Dr Prempeh donates to every three months.

“It must be stated that Dr Opoku Prempeh already has on his list 16 out of these 20 Orphanage homes where he donates to every three months.

He however decided to add the additional four (4) to the beneficiary groups this time around” Madam Timah stated.

Details:
Madam Ama Konadu, NPP Women’s Organiser for Subin Constituency thanked Dr Opoku Prempeh for the gesture.

She also commended the Vice Presidential Candidate for choosing Subin to distribute the items to the orphanages as well as PWDs.

Preacher:
Evangelist Akwasi Donkor, a famous radio preacher in Kumasi, prayed for Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh for showing kindness to kids and PWDs.

He urged other politicians to learn to give to support others who are in need especially persons with disabilities (PWDs).

Beneficiaries:
Representatives of the 20 beneficiary institutions thanked the NPP Vice Presidential Candidate for the gesture.

They prayed that the NPP wins the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections so that Dr Opoku Prempeh and others could better support the upkeep of the kids at the homes.

Pupils:
Margaret Donkor, a16 year old PWD from the Edwenase Rehabilitation centre thanked Dr Napo for continuously showing kindness to their institution.

Kingsley Boadu, a 12 year boy at Cherub Orphanage expressed delight at the sight of the food items.

Food Items:
Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh presented 2000 pieces of 5kg rice and 2, 040 peices of one litre cooking oils.

He also added 2,400 pieces of mackerel sardines

Educational Items:
Dr Napo, a former Minister for Education at the ceremony donated 10,000 pieces of exercise books.

He also presented 1,000 pieces of pencils and 1000 pieces of pens to the kids at the orphanages.
