NDC PC Unveils Development Council Plan to empower Atwima youth

Nwabiagya, Ashanti Region – Hon. Wisdom Osei Boamah, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Atwima Nwabiagya South, has unveiled a comprehensive Development Council Plan to transform residents’ lives and foster sustainable growth in the constituency. According to (link unavailable), this plan aligns with the constituency’s needs, which were neglected by the previous NPP government.

Hon. Boamah promised to give major roads in the area significant attention upon assuming office. He also vowed to transform the Gyankobaa ginger factory, which was converted into a fun fair under the NPP government, to create more jobs for youth. Additionally, efforts will be made to boost education and create employment opportunities for youth.

“I have started training youth in various entrepreneurial skills, and they will receive startup kits to boost their businesses,” he stated. “This will help reduce poverty among citizens.”

*Key Components of the Development Council Plan:*

– *Infrastructure Development*: Upgrade road networks, expand public transportation, and improve utilities (water, electricity, sanitation) to enhance connectivity and quality of life.
– *Economic Empowerment*: Establish small business support programs, job training initiatives, and access to finance to stimulate entrepreneurship and job creation.
– *Social Services*: Enhance education (schools, vocational training) and healthcare (hospitals, clinics) services, while implementing social welfare programs for vulnerable groups.
– *Environmental Sustainability*: Develop green spaces, implement waste management systems, and promote renewable energy initiatives to protect the environment.
– *Community Engagement*: Foster public outreach, participation mechanisms, transparency, and accountability to ensure inclusive decision-making.

The Development Council Plan promises to:
