The Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has unveiled a groundbreaking development project aimed at transforming her constituency.
This ambitious initiative includes the rehabilitation of several deteriorating roads and a local skills training program, poised to bring significant benefits to the community .
Hon.Joana Gyan Cudjoe revealed that key roads in poor condition, particularly in areas such as Annobil, Wassa Bekwai, Kwaboakrom, and Chichiso No. 1, will receive a major overhaul.
The government has positively responded to appeals for these projects and has pledged to ensure their completion.
As part of this development project, the contractor leading the initiative is seeking three individuals from each of the 23 Electoral Areas within the constituency to participate in culvert construction training.
This program aims to equip over 200 trainees with valuable skills, creating job opportunities and empowering locals to support ongoing construction efforts and fix damaged bridges in their communities .
Hon. Gyan Cudjoe emphasized the collaborative nature of this initiative, involving herself, the District Chief Executive, and the contractor. She also highlighted that all major contractors working on these roads have committed to hiring local laborers, ensuring that the financial benefits of these projects remain within Amenfi Central .
Interested individuals from across the constituency, including Agona, Nyamebekyere, Ankase, and Manso Amenfi, are encouraged to submit their names to the District Chief Executive to participate in this transformative training program .
