A group of community youth in Brofoyedu, Ashanti Region, has made a significant discovery in the investigation into the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of several high-profile officials and security personnel. The youth recovered what is believed to be the black box, or flight data recorder, from the crashed helicopter and promptly handed it over to the official investigation team.
The Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Dr. Frank Amoakohene, confirmed the recovery and commended the youth for their vigilance, cooperation, and swift response. The Minister noted that the discovery could prove critical to the ongoing investigations.
The suspected black box will be examined and confirmed by the investigation team to determine its authenticity and assess whether its data remains intact. This crucial find is expected to assist aviation authorities in determining the cause of the crash.
The helicopter crash has drawn national attention and sorrow, claiming the lives of distinguished Ghanaians, including former Ashanti Regional Minister Hon. Dr. Samuel Sarpong and NADMO Deputy Director-General Samuel Aboagye. Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
