The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection has lauded the Information Services Department (ISD) for its relentless efforts in educating the public on the Single Window Citizens Engagement Services (SWCES).

According to the Ministry, the ISD has played a critical role in creating awareness and deepening understanding of the government’s social protection interventions at the grassroots level.

Dr. Myles Ongoh, head of LEAP Management Secretariat, in a training programme for Information Services Department Officers on SWCES, noted that the SWCES is designed as a unified platform for citizens to channel their grievances for redress on social protection issues to promote community empowerment across the country.

“Through community engagements, public announcements and sensitisation campaigns, ISD has helped bridge the information gap and encouraged citizens to take advantage of the program’s benefits,” he said.

Dr. Myles Ongoh emphasised that the partnership with ISD has been instrumental in ensuring that accurate information reaches the right people, thereby enhancing citizen participation in the government’s social protection initiatives.

He also reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to working closely with ISD and other stakeholders to expand outreach and sustain public confidence in the government’s social intervention programs.

Dr. Nafisa Mahama, the Director of the Information Services Department, urged officers of ISD to continue their good works on sensitisation for the public to be abreast with the programmes and policies of the government.
