The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has announced that the KMA Clinic has been re-opened and is fully operational as of Wednesday, October 15, 2025. The clinic was temporarily closed by the Health Facility Regulatory Authority (HeFRA) on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, due to licensing discrepancies.
In a statement signed by Henrietta A.K. Aboagye, Public Relations Officer of KMA, the management apologized for any inconvenience caused by the temporary closure and appreciated the cooperation and understanding of all stakeholders. The statement assured the public of KMA’s commitment to providing quality and reliable healthcare services to the people of the metropolis.
The closure was necessitated by licensing issues between KMA and HeFRA, which have since been resolved. With the re-opening of the clinic, residents of Kumasi can once again access healthcare services at the facility.
The KMA management reiterated its commitment to delivering quality healthcare services to the community. For more information, contact the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly or visit their website at www.kma.gov.gh.
