Ghana’s Presidency Observes International Men’s Day with Focus on Health and Workplace Progress

The Presidency of the Republic of Ghana has commemorated International Men’s Day on Thursday, 20 November 2025, with a special event aimed at promoting men’s health, strong families, and a progressive workplace.

The occasion, themed “Healthy Men, Strong Families, Progressive Workplace,” underscores the importance of men’s roles in societal development and their well-being.

The event,which took place at the Presidential Banquet Hall at 9:30am, feature impactful conversations, an open forum discussing men’s struggles, and prostate cancer education. These activities are designed to foster a culture of openness and support for men’s health issues, a critical aspect of overall family and societal stability.

Speaking at the event were notable figures including Hon. Julius Debrah, Chief of Staff, and Prof. Kwaku Danso-Boafo, Secretary to the Cabinet. Their participation highlights the government’s commitment to addressing issues pertinent to men and encouraging male staff participation in such initiatives.

In a statement encouraging participation, the Presidency emphasized the importance of male staff engagement in the activities, stating, “All male staff are encouraged to participate in the activities.” This call reflects the administration’s focus on inclusivity and support for men’s health and development within the workplace.

The International Men’s Day celebration aligns with global efforts to raise awareness about men’s health, gender equality, and the positive roles men play in families and communities.
