Consultants from the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs (MLGCRA) conducted a comprehensive site review and assessment of the Mamponteng Jubilee Market on Thursday, December 11, 2025. The exercise aimed to verify that the existing site plan accurately reflects the current ground conditions and identify areas requiring immediate modification or redesign.

Mr. Joseph Amankwah, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Kwabre East Municipal Assembly, stated that the field assessment was essential to ensure the development plan aligns with reality on the ground. He emphasized that the review is crucial for confirming the site plan mirrors the actual situation and pinpointing sections that may need prompt adjustments.

Mr. Amankwah expressed the Assembly’s gratitude for the commitment shown by His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama and Her Excellency Vice-President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang toward the successful completion of the Mamponteng Jubilee Market. He noted that their continued support has been instrumental in moving the project forward.

The MLGCRA team, comprising engineers, planners, and other technical experts, conducted a walk-through of the market, evaluating infrastructure, drainage, stall layout, and other critical components. Their findings will inform any necessary redesign work before the market becomes fully operational.

The MCE reiterated that the Mamponteng Jubilee Market, a key commercial hub for the local community, has been under construction for several years.

The recent assessment is expected to pave the way for its timely completion and ensure the facility meets the needs of traders and consumers alike.
