The Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central Constituency, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has announced plans to provide fertilizer support to cocoa farmers within the constituency as part of efforts to boost cocoa production and improve the livelihoods of farmers.

In an official notice issued by the Office of the Member of Parliament, Hon. Gyan Cudjoe informed all cocoa farmers in Amenfi Central that arrangements are underway to supply fertilizer assistance to eligible farmers who require support for their cocoa farms. The initiative forms part of her broader commitment to strengthening agricultural productivity and supporting the backbone of the local economy.
According to the statement, cocoa farmers interested in benefiting from the fertilizer support are required to submit their personal and farm details through the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Branch Chairmen in their respective towns and communities. The information to be submitted includes the farmer’s full name, town or community, and contact number.
Following the submission of details, a designated delegation will be dispatched to registered cocoa farms across the constituency. The delegation will be tasked with verifying the authenticity of the farms, measuring farm sizes, assessing the specific fertilizer needs of each farmer, and facilitating the appropriate distribution of the fertilizer support.
The Office of the MP emphasized that all NDC Branch Chairmen have been mandated to compile comprehensive lists of interested cocoa farmers from their communities and submit them via WhatsApp to the designated contact number: 055 145 8698.
Farmers and branch executives have been urged to adhere strictly to the deadline for submission, which has been set for on or before 30th January, 2026.
The statement further clarified that the exercise is strictly limited to cocoa farmers within the Amenfi Central Constituency and cautioned applicants to provide accurate and truthful information to ensure a smooth verification and processing exercise.
“This initiative is aimed at supporting our hardworking cocoa farmers, improving farm yields, and enhancing agricultural productivity within Amenfi Central,” the statement noted. “Accurate data submission will help ensure that the right support reaches the right beneficiaries.”

Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe reaffirmed her unwavering commitment to the welfare of farmers in the constituency, describing agriculture—particularly cocoa farming—as a critical pillar of local and national development. She noted that targeted interventions such as fertilizer support are essential to sustaining cocoa production and improving farmers’ incomes amid rising input costs.

The announcement was officially signed by Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central Constituency, underscoring her dedication to inclusive development and responsive leadership.
