The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, and Kwadaso Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Eric Asibey, visited the Sofoline Garages on January 25, 2026, to assess the damage caused by a devastating fire outbreak.
The fire, which occurred on Sunday, January 25, 2026, destroyed several cars and shops, leaving many mechanics and traders in dire straits.
During the visit, Dr. Amoakohene expressed his sympathy to the affected victims and assured them of the government’s support to restore their livelihoods.
He tasked the Ghana National Fire Service and the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) to investigate the cause of the fire.
Dr. Amoakohene commended the Ghana Fire Service and security agencies for their efforts in controlling the situation.
The Regional Minister was accompanied by members of the Regional Security Council, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Francis Adu-Boateng, NADMO Directors, and other officials.
