The Ashanti Regional Office of the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission has given full Assurance to consumers in Ashanti Region on its commitment to ensure that reliable power is given to consumers in the Region by the ECG.
Speaking on Kessben 93.3fm *Maakye* Morning show today, the Regional Manager of PURC in Ashanti Region, Mr. Edward Boduah indicated that the Commission is fully aware and has been keenly following the recent intermittent outages in the region and has initiated some engagements with the ECG in helping curb the situation.
He further called on consumers to remain calm as ECG works around to fix the situation citing some immediate l massive maintenance works by the ECG aimed at resolving the challenge.
He stressed the need for consumers to also honor their part in paying their bills promptly so as to equip the utilities financially in delivering it’s services and honoring their mandate as required by law.
