The Chief Executive Officer of Obuase Bitters, Dr. Collins Amo, has disclosed that the company has maintained the prices of its products over the past two years due to reduced inflation and the relative stability of the US dollar.

He made the remarks during a working visit by the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, to the company’s office on Monday.

According to Dr. Amo, the improving economic conditions have helped businesses manage operational costs without passing additional burdens onto consumers.

“Our products have not been increased for the past two years because of reduced inflation and the stabilization of the dollar,” he stated.

He explained that the stability of the local currency and easing inflation have brought some relief to local manufacturers, especially companies that depend on imported raw materials and packaging materials for production.

Dr. Amo further commended ongoing efforts aimed at stabilizing the economy, noting that consistency in economic management would continue to encourage confidence within the private sector.

The Obuase Bitters CEO also reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting the government’s proposed 24-hour economy initiative through expansion and job creation.

He revealed that the company is preparing to introduce canned drinks onto the market as part of its expansion agenda, describing it as a historic step for the indigenous beverage manufacturer.

During the visit, Dr. Amo appealed to government to support local industries with improved road infrastructure, reduced electricity tariffs and enhanced security to help businesses grow and remain competitive.
