Bawumia Volunteers, 2024 (B24), a grassroot based Volunteer group, has been launched in the Ashanti Region, on Friday, with a mission to embark on effective membership mobilisation drive for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, and the NPP for victory 2024.

The well attended event, brought together key party leadership like: The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei-Mensah, Regional Campaign Manager and Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, Middle Belt Coordinator for DMB campaign, Dr Ayew Afriyie, Minister for Education and National Chairman B24, Yaw Osei Adutwum among other High profile party members.

The event brought together about three thousand leaders of the volunteers who are charged to lead the crusade to break the eight.

In his short remarks, the Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, told the volunteers not to descend into the gutters with the NDC as the party has enough policies to break down the NDC and their propaganda.

To Chairman Wontumi, the NDC, despite their lack of message, still have the unbelievable hope that this election is theirs, and it therefore behoves on all, especially, B24, to set a space that will daze John Mahama and his NDC.

He also reminded the youth about the urgency to safeguard their future under the presidency of Dr. Bawumia and the NPP.

In the view of Regional Chairman, the next NPP government has what it takes under the leadership of Dr. Bawumia to make us proud one more time as Ghanaians.

The Middle Belt Coordinator for DMB campaign, Dr Ayew Afriyie, wants Ghanaians, and especially, the people of Ashanti to give a resounding victory to retire John Mahama in December.

Despite brimming with confidence of a one touch victory, the NPP, according to the Effiduase MP, will not be complacent in this year’s general elections and are going all out for an NPP victory.

The MP for Effiduase Asokore, explained that B24, which is led by Dr. Osei Yaw Adutwum, is supposed to harmonise identifiable groups across the country to ensure a united and a well-coordinated campaign.

He disclosed that Dr. Bawumia had been asking when the group was going to be launched and when Dr. Adutwum accepted the chairmanship, they needed to launch it for their activities to start on immediately.

According to him, Dr. Adutwum is a goalgetter and humble, and he needs the support of all to ensure that they achieve their set goals.

The Middle Belt DMB Campaign co-ordinator said Ashanti would furnish Dr. Bawumia with not less than 85% of votes in the 7th December polls. He added that if elections were held today, the NDC would lose.

According to him, NDC’s own research says they are losing seats and they are aware. “The latest polls indicate that the NPP will win 18 more seats; hence, NDC has started instigating groups to cause confusion in Accra to discourage voters,” he said.

The National Coordinator and Chairman for B24, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, in his address was full of hope of the great victory in December, and charged the volunteers not to relent in their resolve to work for the party.

The Minister emphasized the importance of party faithfuls working together to ensure NPP’s victory.

He said, victory is close, but it demands extra work and determination, particularly, at the time the NDC has lost the policy battle and are resorting to insults.

The B24, has membership of over one hundred thousand, with more people craving to join.

It has a National Chairman/Patron, National Coordinator and zonal Coordinators, as the structure of the B24.

The official launch was held at Rattary Park Dome on Friday, 27th September 2024, and it brought together high-profile party officials, chief executive officers (CEOs) of state institutions from the region, some former and current CEOs, Members of Parliament (MPs), as well as incumbent MPs.
