As Muslims across Ghana observe Eid al-Adha,NDC Asokwa Constituency Organizer hopeful, Jerry Jackson has extended a message of peace, sacrifice, and community unity to constituents.
In a goodwill statement released on Wednesday, Jackson wished “a blessed Eid al-Adha” to all Muslims in the Asokwa Constituency, noting that the occasion “brings joy, peace, and countless blessings.”
“As the blessed occasion of Eid al-Adha brings joy, peace, and countless blessings, I extend my warmest greetings to you and your families,” Jackson said.
The aspirant urged constituents to draw from the festival’s deeper meaning, stating: “May this Eid strengthen our faith, inspire acts of kindness, and bring us closer as a united community. May Allah (SWT) accept our sacrifices, forgive our shortcomings, and grant us peace and prosperity.”
The Eid message, designed with traditional Islamic symbols including crescents, lanterns, and mosque silhouettes, highlighted three core themes: _Faith in Allah, Sacrifice with Sincerity, and Unity & Compassion.
It concluded with the greeting: “Eid Mubarak! May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon you all.”
Eid al-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, honors Prophet Ibrahim’s obedience to God and is marked by congregational prayers, charity, and the distribution of meat to family, neighbors, and the vulnerable.
Jerry Jackson, who is contesting for the position of Constituency Organizer in Asokwa on the ticket of the NDC , has maintained visible engagement with faith communities in the area. Festive messages have become a common strategy for aspirants seeking to connect with diverse voter blocs ahead of internal party elections.
Imams and Muslim leaders in Asokwa who received the message described it as a “thoughtful gesture” that reflects the spirit of the season.
The NDC is reorganizing its structures nationwide ahead of the 2028 general elections, with constituency-level contests expected in the coming months.
