The Member of Parliament for Wassa Amenfi Central, Hon Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has called on independent candidates and their supporters in the constituency to desist from taking credit for development projects and employment opportunities initiated by the government.
According to her, all ongoing and completed development interventions within the constituency are the result of the collective efforts of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama, together with the party’s national executives, ministers, the Member of Parliament and the District Chief Executive.
Addressing party supporters, Madam Joana Cudjoe said attempts by some individuals to claim responsibility for government employment opportunities were misleading and aimed at creating disaffection between the people and the NDC leadership.
She stressed that the achievements being witnessed across the country were products of the NDC administration’s policies and commitment to national development, and therefore deserved proper recognition.
“Let us breathe, think, eat and sing NDC as we work together to advance the ‘Reset Ghana’ agenda for economic sustainability and national progress,” she stated.
The MP further urged party members and supporters to remain united and focused on strengthening the NDC’s presence in the constituency and across the country.
Madam Cudjoe also cautioned both internal and external detractors against engaging in activities that could undermine party unity and development efforts.
She commended loyal party faithful who have remained committed to the ideals of the NDC, describing the party as “our heart, our blood, our anchor, our family and our everything.”
The Wassa Amenfi Central legislator praised the Mahama administration for what she described as significant developmental strides across various sectors of the economy and called on Ghanaians to continue supporting the government’s vision for national transformation.
She reiterated that unity, discipline and commitment to the party’s agenda remained essential ingredients for sustaining development and ensuring long-term political success.
