A committed member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mary Agyemang, has officially declared her intention to contest for the position of Women Organiser for the Kumawu Constituency in the Ashanti region, promising to champion women’s empowerment, strengthen grassroots mobilisation and unite the party ahead of future electoral contests.
Running on the campaign motto, “Women for Power,” Madam Agyemang says her decision to seek the mandate of delegates is driven by her passion for serving women and ensuring that every female party member has the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the growth of the NDC.
She described women as the backbone of every successful political organisation and stressed the need to equip them with the skills, confidence and support required to take up leadership positions and actively participate in the party’s activities.
According to her, if elected, she will work closely with polling station executives, branch organisers and constituency executives to revitalise the women’s wing, improve communication among members and encourage greater participation in party programmes.
Madam Agyemang pledged to embark on regular engagement with women across the constituency to identify their challenges and work towards practical solutions through advocacy, capacity-building programmes and economic empowerment initiatives.
She noted that a vibrant and united women’s wing would significantly enhance the party’s organisational strength and improve its electoral fortunes in Kumawu.
The aspiring Women Organiser also appealed to delegates to support her vision of inclusive leadership, transparency and teamwork, assuring them that she would remain accessible and accountable throughout her tenure.
“I am offering myself to serve with dedication, experience and commitment. Together, we can build a stronger women’s front that will contribute immensely to the success of the NDC in Kumawu,” she stated.
Her campaign message highlights the values of experience, dedication and women’s empowerment, underscoring her belief that empowering women at the grassroots is essential for the overall development of the party and the constituency.
As campaigning gathers momentum ahead of the constituency elections, Madam Mary Agyemang has called on delegates to entrust her with the mandate to lead the women’s wing and work collectively towards a stronger, united and more vibrant National Democratic Congress in the Kumawu Constituency.
