Lawyer Eric Adjei has reaffirmed his commitment to youth empowerment and local economic development by donating processing equipment and GH¢100,000 to beneficiaries of the Cashew Value Addition and Livelihood Empowerment (CALEP) Project in the Jaman North Constituency.

The donation was made during the graduation ceremony of participants who successfully completed training in various aspects of the cashew value chain.

The support is intended to help the graduates acquire additional materials and establish their own businesses, enabling them to translate the skills acquired during the programme into sustainable livelihoods.
Addressing the gathering, Lawyer Adjei said skills training alone was not enough, stressing that beneficiaries also required start-up support to successfully venture into business.
He noted that investing in value addition within the cashew industry would create jobs, boost local production and contribute significantly to economic growth in the constituency.
According to him, providing beneficiaries with the right tools and financial assistance would enhance their productivity and position them to become successful entrepreneurs.
The CALEP Project is aimed at promoting cashew processing, creating employment opportunities and improving household incomes through value addition.

Beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing the donation as timely and a major boost to their efforts to establish businesses after completing the training.

They pledged to make good use of the equipment and financial support to expand cashew processing and contribute to the socio-economic development of Jaman North.

Lawyer Adjei urged the graduates to remain focused, innovative and committed to building successful enterprises that would create employment for others and drive sustainable community development.
