The Director of the Institute of Research, Dr. Smart Sarpong has urged artisans who had their certificate at tge induction ceremony to abide by the ethics and standard of the licence given to them.
Profarts in collaboration with Kumasi Technical University had an induction ceremony for artisans who have endured six months training to become professionals.
He added that their licence could be revoked if they are found to be of bad character based on the platform that would be created to rate them by their customers.
The President of the Ghana Institute of Engineering, Rev. Prof Charles Anum Adams also added that the training is the start of their professionalism and hence they must be truthful and be observant as it can help expand thier businesses.
He further said that the initiative is an opportunity to create employment opportunities for themselves as well as others and encouraged others to participate.
The participants also expressed their gratitude to the organisers and encouraged other people to go for programmes when they hear about them.
