Acquire vocational skills to be economically independent-NDC PC urges Ghanaian youth

NDC parliamentary candidate hopeful for Asante Akyem North Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Chief Kofi Asamoah, has urged Ghanaian youth to acquire vocational skills so that they can be free from economic hardship

 

He gave the advice after he had organized a week-long entrepreneurial skills training for the jobless youth in his constituency.

The trainees were taught how to make bridal fans, local drinks, soaps and detergent among other things.

The training also forms part of the NDC parliamentary candidate’s initiative to transform the constituency through human development.

Speaking to the media about the objectives of the training, Chief Kofi Asamoah emphasized on the need for skill training for youth economic empowerment.

He expressed gratitude to the trainees for availing themselves for the programme and urged them to make good use of the skills acquired.

Chief Kofi Asamoah noted that, the constituency is hub of farming and and said he will ensure that ,the mechanized method of farming will replace the dominated traditional farming system in the area.

Some beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the aspiring MP, reassuring him that, the skills acquired would be put to good use.

They said the training would help them to establish businesses to improve their living.

The training was the first of its kind in the constituency and the beneficiaries pledged to vote Chief Kofi Asamoah to win parliamentary seat so that he could do more to improve the lives of the youth.
