The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Adansi Asokwa constituency in the Ashanti Region Mr Godwin Animli Dorgbadzi-Dorani ,is set to launch an initiative to support the youth to acquire technical and entrepreneurial skills in his constituency should he become the next Member of Parliament for the area in 2025.
He revealed that more than 1,000 youth in the constituency he said would be trained to enable them to set up their own businesses and employ others.
The beneficiaries, according to him would be given hands-on training in auto mechanics, carpentry, electronics, electrical, welding and fabrication, building and construction among others.
They would also be trained in steel bending, decoration and event planning, hairdressing, fashion design among many others.
Speaking to constituents and Nanamom during a tour of the constituency yesterday,the NDC PC assured that,the trainees would be mentored upon completion of their training and equip them with entrepreneurial skills to form startups to enable them attract corporate interest.
“My ultimate goal is to make the aspiring youth in Adansi Asokwa acquire a life-changing initiative to help them become job creators rather than job-seekers and we will help them form startup companies, work together and employ others,” he said.
He however appealed to the constituents to vote massively for him as the next MP and with John Dramani Mahama as the next President of the republic in election 2024 to reduce the economic pressure among the youth in the area.
He said, the initiative will reduce unemployment situation among the youth in the area drastically.
