The District Chief Executive for Ahafo Ano South West, Hon. Abubakar Sedik has donated GHc3,000 and 20 bags of cement towards the renovation of the Nyameadom D/A Basic School as the school marked its 40th Anniversary Celebration on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
The generous support forms part of the DCE’s commitment to improving educational infrastructure across rural communities in the District.
In his remarks, Hon. Abubakar Sedik commended the headteacher and the entire teaching staff for their hard work, dedication and willingness to serve in a rural community. He noted that their sacrifices continue to shape the future of children in the area.
The anniversary was celebrated on the theme: “40 Years of Nurturing for Success.”
Hon. Abubakar Sedik reiterated the Assembly’s vision to support quality education, adding that rural schools must not be left behind in the national development agenda. He assured the school and the community of continuous collaboration to address developmental needs.
The event brought together chiefs, parents, opinion leaders, teachers and community members who all joined hands to celebrate the school’s four decades of educational service. The donation is expected to kick-start renovation works to improve teaching and learning conditions at the school.
