The District Chief Executive (DCE) of the Ahafo Ano South West in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Abubakar Sedik, has paid courtesy calls on traditional authorities in the district, seeking their support for development initiatives.

On Tuesday, July 15, 2025, the DCE visited Nana Safreadu Owusu Amankwatia Sampene, Chief of Mankranso, and Nana Assaw Ababio, Chief of Wioso, in their respective palaces.

During the visits, Hon. Abubakar Sedik introduced himself to the chiefs and shared his vision for the district’s development. At Mankranso, Hon. Sedik promised to build a model market to boost the local economy. At Wioso, he assured the chief and his elders that he would address challenges hindering the opening of the Wioso market and ensure the project’s completion.

The chiefs expressed their readiness to offer the necessary assistance to the Assembly for development. Hon. Sedik emphasized that the government is poised to deliver on its promises, and the Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly will take steps to ensure the district receives its fair share of development projects.

The DCE was accompanied on the visits by the District Coordinating Director, Paul Atsu Agbezudor, heads of department, and some NDC party constituency executives.
