President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is assassinating Ghana’s democracy with his leadership, National Chairman of the opposition NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has remarked.
The President, per Asiedu Nketia’s rating, has performed worse than the Acheampong and Akuffo regimes he fought prior to the Fourth Republic.
Speaking Thursday, August 3, 2023, on Maakye with Captain Smart, the Chair of the opposition National Democratic Congress said President Akufo-Addo was someone he shared a similar ideology with during the era of coup d’etats in Ghana. He continued they both advocated for the birth of democracy to abate the toppling of governments by military regimes.
Although ending up in different political parties, General Mosquito says his expectations for the Akufo-Addo administration was high, knowing what he had stood for over the years.
But on the contrary, the President has been a disappointment by degrading what was built by his predecessors as long as democracy is concerned.
