Ashanti Regional Minister, Education Minister Join German President To Inspect Innovative Student-led Technologies at KTI

The Ashanti Region played host to a significant event in the Ghana-Germany partnership, as Dr. Frank Amoakohene, Ashanti Regional Minister, and Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, Minister for Education, joined His Excellency Frank-Walter Steinmeier, President of the Federal Republic of Germany, to inspect innovative student-led technologies at the Kumasi Technical Institute (KTI).

The visit highlighted the growing strength of Ghana-Germany relations and the shared commitment to skills development, environmental sustainability, and industrial innovation.

During the visit, the dignitaries jointly performed the sod-cutting ceremony for the construction of the Centre of Excellence in Green Energy Technology, a transformative €5.6 million project supported by the Government of Germany.

This state-of-the-art facility will advance education, research, and sustainable energy innovation in Ghana, providing a platform for students, researchers, and industry professionals to develop innovative solutions in green energy technology.

The Ghana-Germany partnership is a testament to the commitment of both nations to sustainable development and environmental sustainability.
